How far in advance do I need to book with you?

Some couples book with us from 2 months to over a year and a half in advance.  Please contact us to see if we have your date available.

What is the retainer fee? When does the balance have to be paid?

The retainer fee of $350 secures your wedding date.  We at G&T Northrip Photography will not schedule any other session or wedding on your day.  The retainer fee is taken off the total collection balance and is non-refundable.  The remainder of your balance has to be paid in full one month prior to your wedding date.  Our business system allows you to make on line payments without interest or other hidden cost.

What makes you different from other photographers?

We are short, just kidding, sort of.  In all honesty, we set up our photography business to be different from others in the field.  First, not all photographers sit down with you for a planning session so that your vision comes to life through our images.  We take it a step further and help you create a photography timeline for your wedding day.  It takes the guesswork on how long each step will take making the day stress free for our couples.  We keep track of the time not you. Second, we print images in our studio with a professional printer.  Our twin boys thought it was a new grill? It is that large! Another way we are different is that we work with local artisans to create art products for your wedding album, such as a hand crafted, engraved, wooden album box and a steel stand.  Our large album weighs 20 pounds.  Pretty heavy!  And, last but not least, we have twin boys and we survived!!!!! Therefore, we can handle anything!

 

What collections do you offer? Can I customize a collection?

We have several different collections to choose from.  All of our collection include 2 photographers.  They start at $2149.  To learn more about our collections please contact us.   

Do you have destination wedding packages?

We will travel anywhere in the world to photograph your wedding.  Except for maybe an active war zone. Our infinity collection was made for elaborate destinations anywhere in the world with a travel fee included.  However, all of our collections can be used for destination weddings.  There will be a minimal travel fee added to the collection you choose.  The travel fee would include airfare, food and hotel.  We can also customize a destination package for you.  Please contact us to learn more.

When will I get to see my images? How long will it be before I get my album?

We will invite you to our studio approximately three weeks after your wedding day to view your images. The viewing session are on specific days during the week in the evening.  At the viewing session we will go over different product options for you to order.  We will also go over upgrades to your album.  Once we have all your upgrades and you have picked your images we can design your album to tell the story of your wedding day. After we artistically design your wedding story book we will place the order to our lab, Graphi Studio located in Italy where they will hand make your book. They are considered one of the premier book companies in the world.  At this point it will be out of our control.  On average it takes anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks depending on the time of year we place the order. Once we receive your album we immediately contact you to schedule a time to pick up or local delivery of your handmade wedding story book.  We will ship the album if necessary.

Do digital images come with your collections?

Digital images of the wedding and engagement are included in our boutique wedding collections. Our family, high school senior and portrait sessions are $200 for a two hour session.  This does not include digital images.  After your session with us you will be invited to our studio for a preview of the images and at this time you will have an opportunity to purchase the digital images which are included in our top art product collection. How many digital images will I receive on a flash drive and online gallery?

It really depends on what wedding collection you receive or how long your session is.  For example, a Platinum Label Collection with 8 hours of coverage includes a flash drive with approximately 450 to 600 edited images of your wedding day.  If you had an engagement session as a part of your wedding collection then those are included on the flash drive as well.

If you had a two hour portrait or high school senior session you will have the opportunity to purchase a flash drive of the images we capture.  We normally show you approximately 80 to 140 edited images for a two hour session.

Will my digital images be edited?

The digital images you receive will be edited in adobe lightroom and/or photoshop.  They will be uploaded to the flash drive in jpeg format at a high resolution.  You will be able to share these images on social media and make prints up to 11×16 in size.  There will also be at least one custom edit.  This edit is perfect for large artwork that we can order for you.

Can I print the images received on the flash drive? Would I be able to purchase larger art prints?

Yes, you can print the images on the flash drive.  In our contract it gives you the right to print these images for personal use.  The images you received on the flash drive can be printed up to an 11×16 in size.  Any image printed larger we can not guarantee the quality.  Further, here at G&T Northrip Photography we have a professional printer we use to print images.  Our computer we use is color calibrated to our printer.  Which means what we see on our computer screen will transfer correctly to our printer.  Another photo labs computer will be calibrated differently than ours which was used to edit the images. Therefore, we can not guarantee the quality of other photo labs prints.

If my event last longer than expected will you stay? Is there an additional charge?

If your event last a little longer than expected, yes we will stay.  We generally stay a 15 to 30 minutes later with no charge.  If you would like us to stay an hour or more we would be more than happy to do so for a fee of $200 per hour.

Is it okay if other people take photo's at the wedding?

Some of the couples we work with have unplugged wedding, allowing no other photo’s besides the ones taken by us.  Most couples do allow their guest to take photo’s at their wedding.  We have no issue either way.  It is up to the couple to decide.  We will not tell anyone to stop taking pictures unless you request us too.

What happens if we get sick or die?

If we are dead then I guess we will not be at your wedding.  However, we do have two photographers so hopefully, one of us will be alive!  If one of us is dead, God forbid, or sick, then the other will photograph your wedding and we would refund you a portion of the balance you have paid.  If it is sudden health issues or emergency and we could not cover your wedding, we would inquire with other local photographers in our area to cover your wedding.  We would transfer your balance to the other photographers or refund you the balance.
